Iggy loves the Martha Stewart Collection at PetSmart. They toys are durable, cute… but the price is just plain silly. At 9.99 - 12.99 a piece I cringe a little when I watch him drool all over it. Which brings me to my favorite Ikea find, the Duktig and Torva. These toys are for children, but Iggy, Marmalde and Fatty Cakes love them as well. At 7.99 for a 14 piece set the, Duktig manages to go easy on my bank account, while keeping everyone happy. For those of you with dogs over 20 to 25 pounds these toys really aren't going to be an option, as they would form more of a choking hazard than anything. For larger dogs I would recommend the Torva Soft toys at 5.99 to 7.99, they are much larger and include a squeak/rattle.

I know what your thinking, does the lower price = lower quality? Let me be the first to say that they hold up longer than they Martha Stewart Toys. The Martha stewart toys only seem to appeal to Iggy, while the Ikea toys get all the pets involved. Mostly because with Martha Stewart your 12.99 only buys you one toy, so it takes a beating. Ikea on the other hand, gives you a plethora of toys, to keep everyone occupied.
All this doesn't mean I'm swearing off Martha Stewart Toys, but it doesn't mean I'm only going to buy one when it's on sale. Until then I'm stocking up on this adorable Ikea alternative. For links to all the toys shown here, check out the references below, Happy Playing!!
